I developed a love for photography in my early teans. My first camera was a Canon AE-1 film camera (there was no digital photography back then!). I read many books and did extensive experimentation to learn the fine art of photography. I took copious notes, documenting all camera settings for every frame that I shot, so I could see how the different settings affected the final image.

In college at the University of Illinois at Chicago I became part of the college newspaper photography team. I was assigned to basketball and hockey games. It was then that I learned how to develop black & white film and make prints. My work regularly appeared in the weekly newspaper during the basketball and hockey seasons.

After college I was trained to do wedding photography by one of the top studios in Chicago where I shot weddings for many years. That is also where I was trained to do portrait photography. I enjoy creating lasting memories for individuals and families, as well as creating executive portraits.

I eventually moved into the corporate world building a career in information technology. However I never lost my love for photography. Over the years I have continued to take on professional assignments as well as doing photography on my own at sporting events and stage performances.

I hope I can have the chance to create compelling images for you. Please don't hesitate to contact me at the phone number or email address at the bottom of this page.
